About the event
We have secured funding to run a series of workshops; one course will be for expectant mums (from 16 weeks onwards) and the other for new mums.Â
The structure will likely be 1 hour every week for 8 weeks, or 2 hours every week for 4 weeks.Â
We want this to be accessible, so we will likely hold this on weekends, when hopefully childcare through partners/family/friends  may be more reaedily available. These sessions will be free, however you will be asked to pay a £10 deposit, which will be refunded, provided you attend. The activities you will work through will teach you new skills that will be crucial in managing your mental health, resilience and stress levels. The things that were once considered 'woo' are now shown to have a positive impact on the nervous system, specifically the vagus nerve.
We hope to include (for expecant mums) yoga, Qi gong, meditation and sound baths.
For new mums, we hope to include yoga, sound baths, Qi gong, meditation and breathwork.
